Yeah it's not much since I didn't take any pictures (except a handful of dollies) so you will have to make up your own visual aids. I was only there part of Friday and part of Saturday, even though I expected to be there longer. Traumatized the dog by leaving with a suitcase twice and coming home. But it was the most I could manage. Definitely not feeling great today, keep getting weird waves of nausea, may need to bring that up with the endo on Thurs re: possible adrenal insufficiency (and need to go take some more Tylenol, stupid incisions are *really* hurting).

Lawl. I need to call it something less . . . formal. I'm a cosplay photographer so exclusive, you've never even heard of me. Since Flickr breaks things up strangely, I wanted to repost these in more minimal format. I will be quiet for a while now. @_@

I would like to do more photography, but . . . I don't know. I can't really put myself out there to do shoots, there are more than enough talented people already; I don't have much to offer. But for the moment, if it's of use or entertainment to my friends, there you go. It'd be great to do some shoots not at a con, the lighting drives me bananas. D:

Acen pics are up! I will include some highlights in my report post which will I'm finishing now but if you're bored you can hit them up now. I need to work on taking hall photos again SO BADLY I feel terrible about that, I always assume other people get better ones, but what if people never get them after all? (I never got photos of komori_tifa's other costumes either, or anyone else D: ) Why am I getting *worse* at going to cons instead of better? @_X;;;

But my semi-excuse . . . I may have to take on paid commissions and whatever else I can do to raise some funds. Not that funds are *ever* a bad thing, but I have to replace my camera. Something is wrong with the IS, I'm more and more certain of it. It's heartbreaking to have my photos so frequently screwed up. I could get the H3 for half what I paid for my H1, but it seems like I should upgrade . . . am I ready for a DSLR? :|

This is just for people in the ACen room unless you're really that bored, in which case you have my sympathy.

Shout-outs to my awesome roommates, about half of whom I do not have LJ names for. Apologies to the people I didn't wind up seeing. And a big "I missed you" to the people who couldn't be there. I didn't manage my time very well at the con, and managed to leave home without my sheet of phone numbers, though I have no real excuse for being so fried. (I admit to having a strong suspicion it's partly medication-related and I hope that will be corrected soon, though I couldn't get an appointment with someone new until the end of July.) 13th_kingdom or saeru, shoot me a PayPal addy or send me your mailing address so I can send you a check. I also forgot to ask you about the poster tube I left behind. >_<; Um and who knows what else I'm forgetting so if you do, remind me please.

Yo . . . a full day late getting home thanks to backups from weather delays. Fun. I don't know if you want to hear about any of it, though I may post tomorrow about certain crazy people's behavior since it might be amusing . . . I bought way too much fabric (remnants and clearance). I guess A. Baer's and a "foreign Hancock" was just too much excitement for me to handle. I should go to bed soon, feeling a bit sick-tired.

I guess everyone will have seen already, but I guess seek will be coming back to the US, as was . . . foreshadowed in his blog entries. Selfishly I hope it will be ACen, lol. (Chicago loves you, seek!) I guess I should try and get my hands on Mix Speaker's single thingie.

Currently I'm trying to decide whether or not to cosplay for Katsucon . . . I'm not really feeling it, my ego-o-meter reading is just too low to get excited about it, I guess. So maybe I shouldn't bother. I suppose I have a while to consider.

Being creatively frustrated sucks. It's like being hungry all the time. x_x

~ My father's family is not doing well in general on the health front . . . one of my other great aunts (the sister of the one who died recently) had cancer a few years ago which is now back and has spread to her brain. I have not heard many details, but generally "brain cancer" is not a good diagnosis. Meanwhile my aunt has an aneurysm in her brain which is very likely life-threatening; she is going in for tests this week to find out more. However, a while back I came to the conclusion that you have to assess whether or not dwelling will accomplish anything positive; and, if not, you have to walk away from the thought in your head. Not that that's easy to do, but . . .

~ systema came over this weekend and, as he would say, it was magical. We decided to attempt to make our heads explode by watching different anime back-to-back in completely inappropriate fashion. So it went sort of like: Keroro Gunso --> Death Note --> Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn --> Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan --> Zillion --> G-On Riders --> xxxHolic. We could have thrown some more in there for sure, so we'll have to try again sometime for maximum insane juxtaposition ("crack anime" was over-represented, which I freely admit was 100% my fault).

~ I totally do not know what I'm "doing for Katsucon". I can't decide whether to take costumes or not, or which ones to take . . . blargh.

~ So it occurred to me that I can access the Japanese iTunes Store. Except, I found out you CAN'T buy through there. :P A US account is only valid for the US store; you have to have a separate account, and that has to have a Japanese CC to work. It does turn out that J-list sells a Japanese iTMS card, so that you can create a new account . . . I will have to ponder whether that's worth it to me. The good news is, you can get short audio samples for a lot of bands, and browse the same celeb lists and such that the US store has. Most of the celeb lists are Western artists, but not all - for example, they have an m-flo one. XD

~ Further info for the Avatar: The Last Airbender fans, since people seemed interested and I happened on further details: the news is official, Variety reported that M. Night Shymalan will be writing, directing, and producing a live-action Avatar. It's a three-picture deal with MTV Films/Nick Movies (both under Paramount). One note, James Cameron is ALSO making a movie called "Avatar" which is sci-fi but totally unrelated. Just in case you're googling and get confuzzled by the results.
