If I'm linking Flickr, yes my Sapporo/Otaru pics have been up for a while now. I've almost finished the report but . . . haven't. "Been distracted" would be a terrible understatement. I'd like to have tomorrow night as a deadline for myself I think. So you can look at them now if you like, but if you wait for the report you get highlight photos and probably slightly better context than the captions.

I got good news today - apparently the CAT scan was more accurate than the MRI, and I will only have to have one adrenal gland removed. So I guess I got a bit of luck after all; lifetime cortisol replacement is not a good outcome. Endo says get the one out, and I'll be "fixed" (risky surgery, hospital stay and recovery aside) - I don't think I've ever had a doctor use that word with me.

Did get to see Watchmen today. I liked it but it didn't change my world (okay, full frontal glowing changed it a bit); I admit to being distracted by the 8 year old (at most) kid next to me. Feet didn't reach halfway to the ground and he had a cold. His father had him cover his eyes during the not-that-explicit sex between consensual adults, but apparently things being hacked off was A-OK. Never mind that any of the context of either went completely over his head; *that's* what makes it bad. I love our culture.

Okay, I went far past exhausted again today, as little as I seem to accomplish, but it's time for bed.

I got an h. naoto hat and armwarmer set in the mail today (same day I mail off the swoncho that didn't work out) . . . and the hat looks really stupid on me. T_T I am so sad. My mother suggested I get my hair cut since I said that I thought it would only work on a person with bangs. :P I guess I have to sell that now, too (yes you can tell me I shouldn't have bought it in the first place if you want).

So last night I went down to Harper College to see Kari and Grant from Mythbusters.

Tonight was the "beginning of the end" for Stargate SG-1; I suppose we're lucky to have even gotten another 10 episodes to wrap up the plotline. Yes, I am sad about it - even if a fair portion has to do with being angry with the Sci-Fi Channel for canceling Ben Browder and Claudia Black on shows I like TWICE. It does, however, motivate me to write to Sci-Fi in the hopes it will make them actually give Dresden Files a second season; even though there's been ample indication they really don't care what their fans think. (I can't imagine a bigger fan attempt to save a show than the Save Farscape campaign.) Someone may have to physically restrain me from throwing something at the head of the programming lady at SDCC this year. Meanwhile, I plan to steal their money by selling them a script for a horrible Saturday night flick. :P

Uh, yeah . . . I have some things I need to reply to, sorry, I haven't forgotten about you . . . I've been doing the "work until dead tired" thing which isn't so bright especially since other things are important too . . . but anyway I'm home alone and just spilled yellow silk dye on the floor (fortunately, tile, except for the bamboo rug which I think is a lost cause) and now I feel sort of emo or something so I will have to get to it later. ._. That was STUPID lit up like Las Vegas with big flashing lights around it and a giant neon arrow.
